Presales Lead – Best of Breed Supplier Management Solution

Salary negotiable with OTE over £100k

This is a critical hire for a company that saw its sales treble in 2019 and has now reached the stage in their growth where they need a credible and compelling character to take a lead role in presenting their best of breed solution to a receptive audience of procurement and supply chain leaders.

The company can point to an impressive array of enterprise customers from a range of manufacturing industries who’s procurement operations and supplier relationships have been transformed by the use of this software platform.

Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and working closely with the sales and implementation teams, the role requires someone who can truly consult with potential customers, understand their business, particularly in the areas of supplier management and spend related analytics, to help them develop a clear framework to get the very best from this innovative solution.

This will include assessing and developing business processes, understanding the current data landscape and working with key stakeholders to create an implementation plan that will drive effective master data governance and consolidation, with the eventual aim of achieving best in class master data management for suppliers.

The business has a proven track record of guiding their client base through this process and has developed a robust framework as a result.  It would be your job to adapt and apply this framework, developing it along the way as you gain experience and the solution evolves further.

Of course, each potential client has their own individual challenges, needs and objectives so a strong technical understanding allied to well developed consulting skills and exposure to business processes re-engineering is vital to success.

As a result, strong candidates are likely to come from one of the following backgrounds:

Presales for software aimed at the procurement and supply chain community e.g. P2P, S2C, spend analytics
Presales in master data governance, master data compliance and/or master data management
A business process consulting background with some exposure to procurement and/or analytics

The key skills and personal attributes required include:

Strong technical knowledge
Procurement, supply chain or data analytics domain experience
Good client-facing and/or consulting skills
Strong desire to work with innovative technology
Commercially minded, adaptable, creative and ambitious
Excited about being part of a fast-growing software business with big ambitions
