This is a unique opportunity to join the senior management team of this exciting software business specialising in the digital procurement market as their Group Marketing Director at an exciting and pivotal point in their growth journey.

Leading a highly efficient, high-performance central group function to deliver brand-led activity that drives greater awareness and visibility internationally, the Marketing Director will play a key role in helping the CEO and the wider executive leadership team deliver the company’s growth strategy under a one company and solution led approach.

This presents an opportunity to drive brand awareness and growth within the private sector, mid-market organisations, identified as a significant market opportunity to fuel further growth and market share.
Day-to-day, the role and Marketing & Communications team will provide capability to the regional and associated commercial marketing teams, again providing an infrastructure and marketing ecosystem to enable a cohesive and ‘one company’ market strategy that drives engagement across both new and existing business, including demand generation and account-based marketing strategies on the ground.

With this in mind, a new go to market strategy has been rolled out over the last 12 months in US, France and Germany, and is designed to replicate the successful models deployed in the UK and the Netherlands. The strategy has started to deliver successfully and paves the way for the new group strategy that will further reinforce corporate values and move the business further towards its new unified solution and associated GTM strategy.

At a group level, the role will own the overarching brand strategy inclusive of look and feel, compliance etc., as well as the group’s digital ecosystem including website, social, database and automation channels. There will also be a strong focus on a content and thought leadership narrative, sharing the brand narrative through solution led content, also delivering timely, insightful and incisive content across all external and internal channels.

This role will be as hands-on as it is strategic, reflecting the culture of the business, mirroring the company’s humble beginnings and willingness of those at all levels to operate in a meritocratic environment.

The Marketing & Communications Team

The Marketing Director leads the Marketing & Communications Team, a Service Partner Team, which is made up of three roles:

– Marketing Services Manager – responsible for understanding the marketing and communications needs of internal customers and providing guidance and support to them and acting as point of contact between them and the team. Also oversees the administration of the company-wide use of Pardot and holds a supervisory role in relation to the CRM Coordinator.
– Content Manager – responsible for all aspects of content creation for use in different formats e.g. web content, social media, articles and guides, news stories (in conjunction with PR agency), internal comms.
– CRM Coordinator – oversees the administration of the company-wide instance of Salesforce and provides internal consultancy support for users.

The team works hand-in-hand with the commercial marketing teams based throughout the UK, US, the Netherlands, France and Germany, providing a seamless and high-quality service to meet the needs of the international business in terms of their external demand generation marketing and communications initiatives and activities. The team also provides support and guidance to our Service Partner colleagues to ensure that their projects are on brand and well communicated.
